Who is Martin?

 

Martin has been a Real Estate Broker in Southern Oregon for five years, working with both buyers and sellers on in-town and rural properties.  

 

He is a Problem Solver and worked as an Information Technology Director for a large Willamette Valley medical group for 14 years. He knows you have to listen and understand the problem, before you can to solve it.

As a young man he was a carpenter and learned the importance of creating a good foundation on which to build everything else.

 

He is a Vietnam veteran, serving with the Third Marine Division in 1968. It's important to know who you can depend on.

 

 

Now Martin volunteers with the Oregon Shakespeare Festival.  He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Ashland Community Hospital and the Rogue Valley Peace Choir.

 

Before moving to Ashland, Martin was a member and chair of the Springfield (Oregon) School Board and a Director with the Lane County Council of Governments.

 

 

Martin and his wife Karen have lived in Oregon for over 30 years.  They met in Coos Bay as dancing partners in Little Theater on the Bay's production of West Side Story.  Karen has strong ties and a deep love for Southern Oregon.  Her mother's family moved to Ashland over 100 years ago.  Her father's Native American ancestors lived nearby on the Klamath River for more than 10,000 years.  Both are originally from California, Martin growing up in Camarillo and Karen in Sacramento and Squaw Valley.  Their two children are current attending Oregon colleges.
